i think i was blind.

As I mentioned before, my boyfriend is on tour with his band for a month. I am so happy for him and all of the amazing places he gets to see. However, I am a girl, and my girlfriend tendencies/feelings were bound to arise sometime. This came (of course) in the form of a three hour mental breakdown. Wonderful. I got an overwhelming sinking feeling the other night about how big of a deal it REALLY is that my boyfriend is in a touring band. I trust him 100 percent; it's not about that. It just gets a little overwhelming at times that, in all honesty, he would rather be on the road. Of course his sweet words, and the fact that I love him so-very much helped to calm my nerves. I guess it just comes down to whether or not I would rather deal with the emotions that come along with him being gone all the time as a lifestyle, or do without him. Truth be told, I will always choose him.

hello there!

Life has been pretty stressful as of late, unfortunately. Because of money woes I started a new (more stressful) job at a local bar, in hopes of more pay. Unfortunately, it is summer and I'm not making as much as I would like. I always manage to squeak by somehow (probably with some help from above), but it's still very scary.

I got a call from my mom today, who can always tell when something is not-so-great in my life. She always makes me feel better :)

Tommy is away on a month-long West coast and Midwest tour. He will be back in two weeks. I am so happy for his band, Archimedes, Watch Out!. They have been so blessed this tour with so many kind people, and places to stay. Unfortunately, they are stuck in Washington state with a broken transmission. Poor guys. I'm doing a pretty good job not missing him too terribly much. However, when I'm down like I am now it would be so wonderful to have a hug from him.

In good news: My best friend in the whole world is getting married in October, and I picked up my bridesmaid dress today. It is so pretty! She has good taste!



I also had my first Starbucks Cakepop, which I have been lusting over forever! It was heaven in my mouth I tell ya! I can't wait to try the others!

My boyfriend decided we should go bicycling. Neat. I think of myself as pretty in shape, but danggg. We biked for about two hours on some lovely back roads in his hometown. I felt like I was in another universe. It was quiet and beautiful, and filled with great conversation and a lot of sweating. P.S. Don't bike in denim shorts. Ouch. Afterwards we decided to have some yummmmy Vietnamese food from a place I've been wanting to try forever. It was delish. We had the best eggrolls I've ever had, in this super yummy sauce. I had a noodly, shrimpy, chickeny plate of delishisness. Tommy's was good, but mine was better :) Afterwards, we stuffed our faces with gummy worms and Raisinettes at the movies. Wonderfulllll day...full of wonder.

Eek my internet has been down at my house for the entire weekend, hence the lack of posts.

However, I would love to tell you about my wonderful valentine's day. My sweet boyfriend suggested we go hiking. So even after consuming large amounts of wine the night before, we did it. We didn't venture too far from home and just checked out Buffalo Springs. It was a perfect day and we're already planning our next adventure :)

Oh, and I crossed another thing off of my to-do list! Hiking: check!







After our lovely day of hiking we had a DELICIOUS dinner, with some wine and Grammy's afterwards. Perfect :) I'm a lucky girl.

My life is very fresh and new. If you would have told me a year ago this is what my life would be like, I would have called you a "dirty liar". It is a good thing. I have met so many new people, some very important to me. I have made some decisions for the type of life I want to live, and I am very happy with them. Hello new, beautiful year!
